Manage local data, sync, and backups

Know where your records live before you change browsers, devices, or accounts.

Quick answer: Local mode keeps records in the current browser profile. Signing in enables the app's supported cross-device sync. A JSON backup is a recovery copy, not a human-readable report.

If you use local mode

  • Return to the same browser profile when you expect to see the same records.
  • Private browsing, storage cleanup, browser resets, and replacing the device can remove local data.
  • Export a JSON backup regularly when the browser contains your only copy.

Move to a synced account

  1. Create an account or sign in from Account.
  2. Review the import preview before uploading local entries, presets, and preferences.
  3. Wait for pending uploads to finish before signing out or closing the browser after a large change.
  4. Check another supported device before treating sync as your only recovery path.

Leave a shared device safely

  1. Export any recovery copy you need.
  2. Sign out of the FHO+ account.
  3. Use Clear browser data from Account to remove local and offline cloud data from that browser.
  4. Do not delete the account unless you intend to delete the synced account and its synced billing data.

Important notes

  • The app's notes should contain only the information needed for the billing record.
  • Keep exports and backups only in storage approved by your practice.
